Doha: To mark Global Recycling Day, Al Rayan Municipality organised an awareness event at Al Rayan Public Park.
The event aimed at educating the public about the importance of recycling waste to reduce its damage to the environment and encouraging them to adopt sound environmental behaviour to promote sustainable development.
The event was attended by Jaber Hassan Al Jaber, Director of Al Rayyan Municipality; Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Director of Services Affairs Department at Al Rayyan Municipality and Bakhita Al Marri from Al Rayyan Municipality.
Celebrated every year on March 18, Global Recycling Day was launched by the Global Recycling Foundation in 2018 to promote recycling, which has a crucial part to play in preserving our natural resources and reducing CO2 emissions and ensuring that our planet has a future.
