Beirut: An Israeli airstrike on Friday resulted in one fatality and several injuries following a targeted strike inside the Ain Al Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in the city of Sidon, southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that a hostile drone fired two missiles at a building inside the camp. The facility had previously been used by the Joint Palestinian Security Force before being recently leased by an individual to serve as a kitchen for distributing food aid.
The NNA added that the strike caused significant structural damage to the targeted building and several neighboring properties.
Ambulances rushed to the scene immediately, transporting the wounded to hospitals in Sidon.
In response to the influx of casualties, local hospitals have issued an urgent appeal for blood donations.
