Doha, Qatar: The Minister of State for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, HE Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, met Wednesday with HE Minister of Economy and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany Katherina Reiche, and her accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, HE Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed affirmed that the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Germany enjoy close relations based on mutual trust, respect, and shared strategic interests in several fields, including industry, trade, technology, and investment.
He noted that Germany is one of Qatar's most prominent economic partners in Europe.

His Excellency said that the meeting represents an opportunity to enhance efforts to expand trade exchange and develop cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
He noted that the participation of a select group of Qatari and German companies reflects the shared commitment to exploring new opportunities and building sustainable economic partnerships.
The meeting also addressed topics of mutual interest aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade and investment.
The Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the German Minister of Economy and Energy, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Qatari company Aamal, and the German Niedax group, which specializes in cable management systems, which aims to cooperate between the two sides to explore the possibility of establishing a line for the production of glass fiber reinforced plastics in the State of Qatar.
