ARLINGTON, Texas: Qatar will host two major championships as the World Bowling Tour season is all set to kick off with the PBA World Championship in Las Vegas from October 26.
Qatar will play host to the Qatar Open which will be held next month from November 22 to 27 in Doha, what will be the third contest of the season.
Qatar will host another mega event in the H H Emir Cup, slated to run from February 24 to March 2 in Doha. Meanwhile, the Daejeon International Open in Daejeon, Korea, has come on board and will be a major event.
“Starting the 2015 World Bowling Tour with back-to-back majors is a great way to begin our fifth season,” World Bowling President and CEO Kevin Dornberger said. “It is my hope that many bowlers will travel to compete in Daejeon. It’s a first-class event in a first-class city.”
In late February and March, the WBT returns with the second GCC swing with the H H Emir Cup in Doha which will be followed by the Kingdom of Bahrain Open (March 3-9) and the Kuwait International Open. The Brunswick Euro Challenge in Munich March (14-22), wraps up month.THE PENINSULA
