DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), in collaboration with its partners, is organising the 11th Qatar Patient Safety Week (QPSW) from September 17 to 23 under the theme “360° Quality Care: Advancing Safety Through Systemic Change.”

This theme reflects the importance of evolving quality and patient safety initiatives from isolated efforts into a comprehensive transformation across the healthcare system. It highlights the crucial need to adopt a holistic approach to improving healthcare quality and patient safety.

The 11th Qatar Patient Safety Week aims to engage healthcare leaders in driving systemic change by strengthening their commitment to embedding a culture of safety. This involves integrating quality and patient safety priorities into national strategies, policies, and institutional governance.

It also focuses on fostering communication and awareness by promoting transparency, sharing experiences, and raising awareness across all levels of the healthcare system, from leaders and care providers to patients and their families, to ensure safer care and reduce preventable harm.

Additionally, it seeks to share best practices by disseminating evidence-based methods and innovative approaches that enhance performance standards and demonstrate systematic improvements in quality and patient safety at every level of care.
