Abu Dhabi: The 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will be held from Sept. 13 to 18 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

Participants are from 95 countries, including Qatar, alongside dozens of writers, thinkers and academics.

The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, the organizer, said the fair pursues the theme "Turn the Page, Read the World", whose programs comprise almost 1,500 events ranging across three main aspects, chiefly global culture and intercultural dialogue, innovation and shaping the future, as well as arts and live cultural experiences.

The center highlighted that Balkan Culture will be the guest of honor, paying tribute to the renowned scholar Al Khalil bin Ahmed Al Farahidi, who was chosen as the pivotal figure of the fair.

Overall, the exhibition heralds a new milestone in the path of a national cultural project that has deepened its stature as a global knowledge-production platform, fosters civilizational dialogue and envisions the future of cultural and creative industries.

For the first time since its inception, the expo initiates events with an opening ceremony showcasing its pathway that has been continuing for 35 years, alongside a theatrical show inspired by Al Farahidi.

In addition, the fair will recognize winners of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award 2026.
