Gold rises 0.2% in Asian trading

Beijing, China: Gold prices edged higher in early Asian trading on Wednesday as US Treasury yields retreated from recent highs, while traders awaited the results of the latest Federal Reserve meeting.

Spot gold was up 0.2% to $4,342.33 per ounce, after falling nearly 2% on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery ‌edged 0.6% ⁠lower to $4,396.30.

Among other metals, spot silver fell 0.5% to $62.99 per ounce. Platinum rose 0.3% to $1,717.03, while palladium lost 0.3% at $1,286.73.
