Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with the British Standards Institution (BSI), conducted a specialised workshop on ISO 22301:2019, the international standard for Business Continuity Management Systems, from 14 to 18 June 2026 at Le Méridien City Center Doha.

Fifteen employees from various ministry departments took part in the workshop, which aimed to qualify them for international certification in leading the implementation of the ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity standard, thereby helping to raise institutional readiness and enhance nationally specialised competencies in business continuity.

Participants received in-depth training on key aspects of the standard, including business impact analysis, risk assessment, business continuity planning, crisis management, plan testing, and continuous improvement practices.

The workshop forms part of MCIT’s ongoing efforts to build national capabilities and enhance institutional readiness by adopting international best practices. These efforts contribute to strengthening the resilience of government services and minimising the impact of potential disruptions on service continuity.
