Washington, USA: The platform X has officially announced new, stricter technical limits for unverified accounts. Non-subscribers are now limited to posting 50 times per day, alongside a maximum of 200 replies, a sharp decrease from the previous limit of 2,400 posts per day.
This sudden change was announced through the platform's official support page as a part of their measures to alleviate technical pressure on servers and curb automated and fake accounts.
The new policy is strictly enforced across all devices, forcing users who exceed the limits to cease activity unless they subscribe to premium plans.
The new restrictions are not limited to individual posts and replies but include restricting direct messages to only 500 messages per day, allowing 400 new followers per day, and limiting the use of X's AI Grok to only 10 messages every two hours, reflecting the platform’s strategy to push users of free accounts towards adopting paid subscriptions.
