Doha: The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology is now accepting applications at the national level for World Summit Award e-Content 2015 Contest and calls for entries from Qatar’s digital content creators for WSA 2015.
The application process is now open with Ms. Reem Al-Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Society Development, ictQATAR, being the national expert spearheading the nomination process for the State of Qatar.
Individuals, public and private entities, companies, universities, NGOs and all institutions are invited to join the competition by submitting their best digital content from today until May 18, 2015. E-content could be webpages, offline and kiosk installations, mobile applications, games and interactive productions.
All submitted products must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2013.
The competition, which is free, aims at recognizing and honoring the national efforts for developing excellent and interactive digital content that contributes to social and economic boom in Qatar toward building a knowledge-based society.
“We are very interested in competing at the World Summit Award contest in order to continue supporting and honoring the best digital content in Qatar, as well as encouraging individuals and agencies to create more such great e-content that contributes to the social and economic boom in the country,” said Al-Mansoori.
“The contest is a great opportunity to recognize the e-content created in Qatar and around the world. We invite all individuals and agencies with outstanding e-content to apply for the competition to be recognized and honored at the national and global levels,” she added.
The eight WSA categories reflect most crucial social issues of every-day life around the globe. If your e-content adds substantial value to one of the following categories, then it is high time to get in contact with your national expert and apply for WSA 2015.
