Doha: For the third consecutive week, Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) continues the implementation of the collecting data process for the Simplified Census of Population, Housing and Establishments for the year 2015, in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning.
The census has been launched on the first of April 2015. Capacities and potentials were mobilised to make the census a success because of its vital importance to the state.
Qatari and resident family members, business owners, and enterprises effectively cooperated with census researchers during their visits recently, as they provided them with the information required for the census.
The census is one of the most significant statistical work conducted by the MDPS because of its inclusive nature, as it covers all elements of society; individuals, buildings, and establishment. It offers recent data and indicators of interest to decision makers, researchers, and all members of the society. MDPS asked all citizens and residents to continue their cooperation with census-takers and to facilitate the performance of their duties in order to accomplish this important national action, as researchers will continue to visit families from 4 to 8pm every day until the end of the collection of census data in May 31.
MDPS calls on citizens and residents who are interested in completing the data of their families electronically to quickly register in the page of the census. The Ministry also urges families that already registered and have not completed the data of their members yet to quickly complete data in the electronic form available on the website: www.qsa.gov.qa which will be available until the end of this week.
