Doha: Qatar will host 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup in March on Doha Corniche waters.
The Organising Committee began its preparations to host the championship, where it held a meeting chaired by the President of Qatar Swimming Association (QSA) Khalil Al Jaber.
The meeting assigned tasks, formed working committees, set the preliminary date of the tournament, and reviewed the Qatari team preparation to participate in this important event.
FINA Marathon Swim World Cup will be preceded by the Masters Championship which will be held for the public for 1.5 km. All Qatari clubs, individuals and institutions will participate in this event.
The number of participants is expected to reach 700 in the Masters Cup and QSA will work on inviting all swimmers in the country. Under the theme “Swimming For All”, the campaign is launched by the International Swimming Federation and supervised in Qatar by Al Jaber as a member of the FINA Committee.
