Doha, Qatar: Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met today with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea HE Woo Won-shik, who is currently visiting the country.
The two sides discussed parliamentary cooperation relations between the two countries, stressing the important role exchanging visits play in uniting positions during international parliamentary events and in supporting issues of joint interest.
They also highlighted the important role legislative councils play in enhancing international cooperation, maintaining global stability, and addressing joint challenges. They praised the progress of the strategic partnership between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea, particularly in the fields of energy, industry, infrastructure, education, health, as well as cooperation within international institutions.
They also said that they look forward to continue enhancing parliamentary cooperation to advance the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
