Doha, Qatar: AFG College with the University of Aberdeen marked its seventh graduation ceremony at the Westin Hotel in Doha, celebrating the achievements of students who successfully completed their degree programmes in Qatar.

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of VIPs and honoured guests, including AFG Chairperson & Founder Dr. Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani; AFG CEO Sheikha Anwar bint Nawaf Al Thani; the University of Aberdeen’s newly appointed Principal, Professor Pete Edwards; and Duncan Hill OBE, Deputy British Ambassador to the State of Qatar.

Graduates were joined by senior representatives from the University of Aberdeen, AFG College faculty and staff, and their proud families and friends.

Reflecting the college’s strong international appeal, the graduating cohort represented a wide range of nationalities from Qatar and across the world—reinforcing AFG College’s commitment to cultivating a diverse and globally minded academic community.

Dr. Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani, Chairperson of AFG College, expressed her pride in the graduating class, stating: “Attending our annual graduation ceremony never fails to fill me with immense pride as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of those who have tirelessly pursued this significant milestone.

“Today, we honour the fruits of their steadfast commitment to their education, while extending our gratitude to their families and loved ones for their encouragement. I am certain that our graduates will deliver impactful contributions to their professions and society at large, and I eagerly anticipate witnessing their future accomplishments.”

Professor Pete Edwards, Principal of the University of Aberdeen, highlighted the strength of the partnership and the graduates’ achievements: “I am delighted that my first visit to Doha coincides with the celebration of our annual graduation. This moment marks not only the culmination of years of hard work, but also the depth and strength of the partnership between the University of Aberdeen and AFG College. Today stands as a testament to the achievements of our graduates and the bright futures they are poised to shape. I look forward to welcoming our new Aberdeen graduates into our global alumni family.”
