Al Hammadi inaugurates mural of academic excellence

Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi stressed that the recognition of the academically distinguished students in the State of Qatar is one of the fruits of the qualitative investment in the Qatari people, which was set by the State as a top priority, noting that these academically distinguished students are Qatar’s bet towards the promising future.
HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education said in a speech after the inauguration of the mural of academic excellence in the Katara Cultural Village that this mural is another recognition of the academically distinguished students, which will inspire and motivate all components of the learning process including schools, students and teachers, to promote competition in the educational field and create a favorable environment that establishes a culture of excellence, creativity and innovation in the Qatari society.
HE Dr. Al Hammadi pointed out that the value of these murals, which include the names of the winners of the academic excellence award from the first session to the tenth, stems from the importance of academic excellence as one of the national pillars of creativity and innovation at the level of the state, and to enhance the value of science and excellence, which the wise leadership gives special interest, in recognition of the distinguished sons and daughters of the country.
HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education called on distinguished students to play a greater role in sustainable development in its economic, social and environmental dimensions, and to continue to their excellence so that they become leaders and thinkers and that Qatar’s educational institutions are a catalyst for creativity and excellence.
He renewed the Ministry’s commitment to sponsoring all efforts and creative energies, and Qatar’s need for the efforts of all its people, wishing a promising future for the distinguished students under the wise policy of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
For her part, Executive Director of the Academic Excellence Award Dr. Hamda Hassan Al Sulaiti considered the award as one of the most prestigious awards in the academic field in a country. She noted that the mural is a gesture of appreciation to all who have won the award over the last 10 years. Al Sulaiti expressed hope that the mural raises awareness of the prize and the culture of excellence among Qataris who depend on them to build their present and future.
Director of Public Relations and Communication Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Award for Academic Excellence Hassan Abdullah Al Mohammadi expressed his happiness for the inauguration of the mural of academic excellence in the cultural village, including the names of students, schools and teachers who have won the various categories of the Award for Academic Excellence over the past ten years, becoming a landmark of cultural and scientific, and adding quality to Katara.
The ceremony was attended by HE Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim Al-Thani, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Rabia Mohammed Al Kaabi and a large crowd of winners of the award over the past ten years.
