Nagoya: Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) HE President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani chaired the 110th OCA Executive Board meeting in Nagoya, Japan, ahead of the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
The meeting reviewed preparations for upcoming OCA events, including the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Riyadh 2026, the Asian Beach Games in Cebu 2028 and the Asian Winter Games Almaty 2029.
The board also considered Kuwait's bid to host the inaugural Asian Games for Esports and Mind Sports in 2027, with a hosting agreement due to be signed on September 19.
A Philippine bid to host the second edition of the event in Manila in 2029 was also reviewed. The proposal is expected to be discussed at the OCA General Assembly in Doha in January 2027.
