Doha, Qatar: Al Emadi Model Educational Centre continues to hold its weekly “Educational Thursday” programme, offering a range of Quranic, educational and cultural activities aimed at strengthening Islamic values and helping young people make constructive use of their time.

The programme has been held regularly since the beginning of the year during the evening period, from after Asr prayer until shortly before Maghrib prayer, with the participation of around 40 Qatari and resident students.

The initiative forms part of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ ongoing efforts, represented by the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, to strengthen young people’s connection with the Holy Quran and help develop balanced, faith-centred personalities.

The weekly activities are a key component of the centre’s year-round educational and Quranic programmes. They seek to provide an engaging environment combining Islamic education, behavioural guidance and purposeful recreation, while helping students develop their knowledge, skills and positive values.

The “Educational Thursday” programme begins with Quran memorisation and revision sessions, which form a central part of the initiative. Students spend 30 minutes in Quran circles presenting passages they have memorised and reviewing their assigned portions.
