During the exercise, 9,832.54 tonnes of domestic waste and 4,862.6 tonnes of solid waste were removed from all municipalities.
Doha: The General Hygiene Department in the Public Services Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Municipality removed about 14,695 tonnes of waste from all municipalities, including household and solid waste during the Eid Al Adha holiday.
During the exercise, 9832.54 tonnes of domestic waste and 4862.6 tonnes of solid waste were removed from all municipalities. In addition, 664 cleaning cars and 2,723 workers were provided for cleaning operations around the clock.
The department also cleaned 158 Eid prayer places nationwide, provided 73 new waste containers at the sites of Eid prayer halls, and washed 5,904 containers. All public beaches in the country have been cleaned, which increased in demand during Eid.
