Doha: The Doha Municipality last month destroyed 473 tonnes of food found unfit for human consumption, registered 159 violations and sent 110 food samples for lab test. It conducted 2,316 inspection visits.
Meanwhile, in a joint campaign by the municipality and the Consumer Protection Department, four violations by two food outlets were detected. The outlets were found selling Australian subsidised meat at prices up to QR20 per kg against the actual price of QR14.50 per kg, the Ministry of Municipality said on its website.The Peninsula
