Doha: Qatar's Government Communications Office (GCO) confirmed on Monday that reports circulating about oil pollution reaching the country’s shores are false.
In a statement shared on its social media platforms, GCO added that monitoring operations and field inspections are continuing in coordination with relevant authorities.
It urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and refrain from circulating rumours or unverified reports.
