Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) H E Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik in Doha yesterday.
They discussed cooperation and relations between Qatar and ICESCO, especially in the field of civilizational initiatives.
The Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised ICESCO achievements in the social, academic and cultural fields around the world, affirming Qatar’s support for it.
The Director-General of ISESCO praised the contributions and continuous support of Qatar to the programmes and initiatives launched by the organisation around the world. He said the cultural movement witnessed by Qatar, especially after hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, is important and unique, stressing the organization’s interest in community initiatives, especially those related to the empowerment of women and youth.
