Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and other dignitaries and members of the security committee at the event yesterday.
Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani honoured the members of the security committee and the entities from the sisterly and brotherly countries participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament.
This came during a ceremony that was held on this occasion at the Ned Doha Hotel yesterday.
During the ceremony, His Excellency watched a documentary film explaining the methods of securing the tournament and the ways to secure the international sporting event.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also delivered a remark on this occasion in which he commended the members of the security committee and the participating entities from the sisterly and friendly countries and heads of the participating delegations in securing the world cup tournament.
He extended special thanks to former Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and former chairman of the security committee Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani and Minister of Interior and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Operations Commander H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers, heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar and heads of delegations, along with senior officials and the ceremony’s guests.
