Doha: The Shura Council participated in the Parliamentary Forum on Cooperation in Research and Libraries, organised by the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Assembly’s parliamentary achievements in Asia, held virtually yesterday.
The Council was represented at the forum by Chairman of the Qatar-Asian Parliamentary Friendship Group H E Ahmed bin Hitmi Al Hitmi.
The participants discussed a number of themes, including the role and tasks of parliamentary research centres and libraries, and the opportunities and challenges for the rapid progress of information technology.
