The Police College signed a letter of intent with the Police College of Fujian in China yesterday. The Director General of the College, Brigadier Dr Mohammad Abdullah Al Mohanna, and Director of Police College of Fujian, Lauroy Rong signed the letter.
The agreement was intended to share experiences in the scientific, educational and training fields and to support efforts of common interest.
The letter includes cooperation between the two parties, including exchanging visits, experts and specialists in the academic and training fields, cooperation in the organisation of educational and training programmes and activities for the benefit of all parties. It also included exchange of information and opinion on issues related to academic and training activities to improve the quality of their work.
Brigadier Dr Mohammad Abdullah Al Mohanna, Director General of the College, said that the aim of signing the letter of intent with the Chinese side is the desire of the two sides to build bridges of cooperation, enhance joint work and make maximum use of existing expertise.
Lauroy Rong expressed his happiness with the signing of the agreement with the Police College, which reflected effort to raise the level of professional, training and academic benefit for both sides.
He said that the Qatar Police College has the potential to make it a leading college with its programmes and training plans to keep pace with the times and its constant efforts to develop and modernise its administrative, academic and training systems.
