The growing regional paediatrics challenges and key issues in child health in an evidence-based, patient-centred, multidisciplinary environment will be discussed during the Middle East Paediatric Medical Conference, which will begin in Doha today.
The three-day event is organised by Maarefah Management — the leading organiser of healthcare conferences — in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation.
Regional and local experts in the field will share their knowledge via practical and hands-on workshops with interactive discussions to meet the needs of the paediatricians, family physicians, sub-specialists and allied health professionals participating in this activity, supported by the Bahrain Medical Society, The Saudi Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition, Pediatric Society – Palestine, Consensus in Pediatrics and Lebanese Pediatric Society. Major international companies such as Nutricia, GSK, Johnson’s and Wyeth Nutrition will showcase the leading and latest advances in the field.
D Ahmed Alhammadi, Chief of the Division of General Academic Paediatrics, Hamad Medical Corporation and Chair of the Conference Scientific Committee, will be discussing published studies that could change the paediatric practice, promote children’s health and the care provided to them.
“The programme has more than 20 lecturers over the three days in many specialties in paediatric asthma, TB, cow milk allergy, sleep and mood disorders, enuresis in children, nutrition in autism and more”, said Dr Ahmed Alhammadi, Academic Paediatrics Hospitalist, Deputy Chairman, Chief of the Division of General Academic Paediatrics, Hamad Medical Corporation, Assistant Professor of Clinical Paediatrics, Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar.
