Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued an instrument of ratification endorsing the amended protocol of Marrakesh Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation and it annexed Trade Facilitation Agreement.
The Emir also issued an instrument of ratification approving the ratification of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
The Emir issued an instrument of ratification endorsing a draft MoU on cooperation in the field conservation of biodiversity and wildlife between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of the State of Qatar and the State Committee for Environmental Protection and Land Resources of Turkmenistan, which was signed in Doha on March 15, 2017.
The Emir issued an instrument of ratification endorsing an air services agreement between the governments of the State of Qatar and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, which was signed in Doha on March 20, 2017.
The Emir also issued an instruments approving the State of Qatar's joining of the Rome Convention for the Protection of Performers, Producers of Phonograms and Broadcasting Organisations.
The Emir ratified the Cabinet decision No 22 of 2017 approving the application of the provisions of Law No. 24 of 2002 on retirement and pensions of Qatari employees working in Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charity.
The decision is effective starting from its date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
The Emir issued Decree No 28 of 2017 ratifying an agreement on the promotion and protection of mutual investments between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Kyrgyz Republic, signed in Doha on December 8, 2014, and which shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.
The Emir also issued Decree No. 29 of 2017 ratifying an MoU in the fields of industrial cooperation between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait signed in Doha on January 11, 2016.
The Emir issued Decree No. 23 of 2017 ratifying an MoU on cooperation in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals between the Government of the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait, signed in Doha on January 11, 2016, which shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.
The Decrees shall be implemented and effective from the date of their issuance and they shall be published in the Official Gazette.
The Emir issued the Law No 8 of 2017 regulating the practice of maritime business in the waters of the State of Qatar. The law is effective and is to be published in the official gazette.
