Doha: British Standards Institution (BSI) has awarded an industry standards certificate to the human resources division of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC).
The ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certification confirms SC’s best practices and excellence in the division. The globally recognised quality management standards outline ways to achieve and benchmark high quality performance and services at work place.
SC is one of the first public sector organisations in Qatar to achieve independent certification for its division. The award reiterates SC’s commitment to Qatar National Vision 2030 by building a capable and motivated workforce.
Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Acting Assistant Secretary-General, Corporate Affairs, SC, said: “I am delighted by the motivation and dedication the HR team has shown. It is further evidence of SC’s commitment to excellence and provide high quality services to our stakeholders. Human resources capacity building is part of the work SC undertakes for Qatar in preparation for 2022 FIFA World Cup.”
Mahmoud Qutub of SC, whose quality and excellence team has been leading the certification process for the organisation, said, “The ISO 9001:2008 is clear evidence of SC’s commitment to foster a capable and motivated workforce. Organisations that implement the ISO 9001:20008 continually monitor and manage quality across all areas of operation, as the system outlines ways to achieve consistent performance and quality service to all stakeholders.”
Omar Rashid, General Manager, BSI Qatar, said: “For more than a century we have been showing businesses how to improve performance, reduce risk, and achieve sustainable growth. SC has demonstrated ongoing commitment to improve quality standards and as such can be considered a role model for other organisations in Qatar aiming to excel.” QNA
