DIYARBAKIR, Turkey:  One person was killed and another wounded when four rockets hit the southeastern Turkish town of Kilis near the Syrian border on Monday, security sources said.

Kilis, just across from an area of Syria controlled by the Islamic State militant group, has been a frequent target of rocket fire in recent weeks.

Separately, Dogan News Agency reported that Turkish military fired artillery into Syria after a mortar landed near an army outpost in the southern Hatay province.
