Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department issued a special weather report for Qatar National Day, Thursday, December 18, 2025.
The Department stated that thunder rain was to be expected during the National Day holiday, associated with strong wind by the afternoon.
“Misty at first becomes cloudy with a chance of rain maybe thundery at places by afternoon and cold by night,” QMD stated.
Wind is expected to “be southeasterly – northeasterly, speed of 8 – 18 KT gusting to 45 KT during thunder rain shift to northwesterly 20 – 30 KT.”
Sea state is expected to be 8 – 11ft rising to 16ft during thunder rain.
