Shura Council Deputy Speaker H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti
Doha, Qatar: Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti said that Qatar National Day (QND) is an occasion in which the values of unity, cohesion, and national solidarity are demonstrated and strengthened to continue the process of development and enhance the nation’s position and its pioneering role on the global scene.
Her Excellency added in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the noble national values that were demonstrated in all developmental stages and transitions that the nation is going through were established by the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, to build a lofty homeland with solid principles of solidarity and cohesion between the people and the leadership.
On the occasion of QND, the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council extended the highest congratulations and blessings to Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the Qatari people and all who reside on the land of Qatar.
She continued that cooperation and solidarity among all members of society is the approach followed by the country since the Founder era until H H the Amir, and one of the fruits of this was Qatar’s continued progress, development, excellence in various fields, comprehensive development, and its assumption of a prominent position regionally and internationally.
She affirmed that the QND anniversary is a great occasion that embodies all feelings of belonging to the homeland and reminds us of the sacrifices made by the founding fathers for progress and development, praising the keenness of citizens and everyone living in Qatar to express belonging, remember the sacrifices in word and deed, and make sincere efforts to raise the country’s status and preserve its gains and leadership position.
She concluded her statement by renewing the pledge and loyalty to the wise leadership, affirming that the Shura Council draws inspiration from this national anniversary, which is dear to everyone’s hearts, the values of giving, sacrifice, and work to achieve the aspirations of the honourable Qatari people in accordance with the directives of
H H the Amir.
