Tesla Inc.’s new "flying” car drew awed reactions from Wall Street and EV fans alike. It even won over one of Elon Musk’s notable adversaries.

"Wow the new Roadster looks quite amazing,” Sam Altman posted Friday on X. "Good job @elonmusk.”

The OpenAI chief executive officer was among a number of big names praising the Roadster, a long-delayed model that Tesla unveiled Thursday with an over-the-top showcase. Outfitted with air thrusters developed with SpaceX, the electric vehicle prototype performed aerial stunts including jumping over other cars and flipping in midair.

President Donald Trump called the vehicle "very impressive,” while Alphabet Inc. CEO Sundar Pichai issued congratulations to Musk and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis posted "Wow!” on social media.

Altman’s message is particularly notable, not just because of his and Musk’s public bickering and legal feud. Altman last year publicly canceled his own Roadster pre-order, saying the years of delays have "felt like a long time to wait.”
