New York: Major stock indices on Wall Street opened lower Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 89.9 points, or 0.20 percent, to open at 45,862.37.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 15.8 points, or 0.24 percent, to 6,613.27. The Nasdaq Composite index lost 72.7 points, or 0.32 percent, to open at 22,489.815.
