The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has signed two contracts with construction companies to develop Al Bustan Street, a parallel road to the crowded street, said a senior Ashghal official.
The step is aimed at decongesting traffic on February 22 Street.
The development of Al Bustan Street is one of Ashghal’s new project to be announced officially soon, said Eng Abdullah Al Attiya, Assistant President of the Public Works Authority.
“There is a full-fledged package of four projects to decongest February 22 Street. The contracts for two projects have been already signed and the remaining two contracts will be inked by the end of next month,” Al Attiya said.
