Alec holds fundraiser for Nepal

An Alec official hands over a donation to an official from Qatar Red Crescent.

Doha: Alec, a Middle East contractor of major construction projects, hosted a quiz night in Doha Golf Club to raise funds for Nepal Disaster Relief in the aftermath of the recent earthquake.
The evening raised QR20,800 which was presented to Qatar Red Crescent Society which is operating a base in Nepal and assisting in relief efforts. 
Kez Taylor, CEO, Alec, said: “As a company, we ensure that the countries where a majority of our workforce come from are a priority focus of our social responsibility efforts. The earthquake has had a devastating effect on Nepalese communities and it is important that we support where possible.” 
The evening brought together representatives from Alec, Bawabat Al Shamal Real Estate Company WLL, MACE and EC Harris working collectively with Gulf Contracting Company to build Doha Festival City, set to be the largest mall in Qatar.
