Doha, Qatar: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and the Community College of Qatar signed a cooperation agreement yesterday, aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration in the fields of training, research, and development, while supporting national capacity building in cybersecurity.
The agreement seeks to advance specialised knowledge, enhance cybersecurity awareness, and align academic programmes with labour market needs and the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
The agreement was signed by NCSA President Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki, and President of the Community College of Qatar, Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Horr.
On this occasion, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki stated that the agreement represents an important step towards strengthening integration between national entities and educational institutions.
He emphasised that investment in knowledge, training, and scientific research is a key pillar in building a more resilient and prepared cybersecurity ecosystem capable of addressing emerging digital challenges.
For his part, Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Horr highlighted the commitment of the Community College of Qatar to continuously developing its academic and training programmes in line with national priorities and labour market requirements. He noted that the partnership with NCSA will provide students and academic staff with greater exposure to the latest trends and best practices in cybersecurity.
The agreement includes the exchange of expertise between the Agency’s specialists, researchers, and faculty members, as well as the organisation of workshops, training programmes, and cybersecurity awareness activities. It also supports the development of academic programmes by aligning them with the Agency’s priorities and updating educational content to reflect the latest developments in the field.
NCSA continues to implement a range of awareness and training initiatives targeting different segments of society, with the aim of enhancing cybersecurity awareness and promoting safe technology practices, thereby contributing to a more informed and resilient digital society.
