Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's main stock index closed lower on Sunday, shedding 27.50 points to end trading at 10,967.94 points, with total trading value reaching SAR 2.9 billion.

A total of 158 million shares were traded, with 77 listed companies recording gains while 179 closed lower.

The parallel market index (Nomu) also ended the session in negative territory, falling 161.37 points to close at 22,833.63 points.

Trading on Nomu amounted to SAR 13 million, with more than 1.4 million shares exchanged.
