Doha: The Ministry of Culture and several Qatari publishers will take part in the 32nd annual Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, due to be held from May 22-28, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
The Qatari publishers participating in the week-long fair include Dar Al Watad for Publishing and Distribution and Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press.
Qatar’s participation comes within the framework of bolstering cultural and intellectual communication between Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Director of the Ministry of Culture’s Libraries Department and Director of Doha International Book Fair, Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain hailed the Qatari participation as an endeavour to build new relations with publishing industry members, in addition to showcasing Qatari publishers’ intellectual production.
The Ministry of Culture’s publications will include novels, law, social and human sciences, as well as children’s and youth books, Al Buainain said.
