The Ministry of Justice's Legal and Judicial Studies Centre has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of legal and judicial studies with the Qatar University's College of Law.
Signed by Director of the Legal and Judicial Studies Centre Fatima Abdulaziz Bilal and Dean of the College of Law Dr Mohamed Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, the MoU focuses on cooperation in scientific and cultural fields and legal education along with the exchange of research, documents, publications, scientific journals and data, among others.
It also encourages cooperation in joint research projects, organisation of scientific seminars, conferences and workshops, in addition to preparing and qualifying graduates of the College of Law to work in the Ministry of Justice and its various units.
It entails mutual benefits of the contents of each party's library as well as other areas agreed upon by both parties.
Under the MoU, the two sides will form a joint steering committee to follow up, implement and evaluate aspects of cooperation and review achievements and development.
The steering committee will draw up plans and programs that will enable them to benefit from the scientific and practical potentials of specialists in both sides.
