Doha, Qatar: In a significant move to bolster the national healthcare landscape, the General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has reaffirmed the vital role of the Healthcare Endowment Fund.
By integrating traditional Islamic philanthropic values with modern medical needs, the Fund has emerged as a primary driver for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those concerning good health and community well-being. The Healthcare Endowment Fund operates as one of the six specialised branches managed by the General Directorate of Endowments. Its mission is centred on creating a sustainable financial ecosystem where the returns from invested endowment assets are channelled directly into the medical sector.
This model ensures that high-quality healthcare remains accessible to vulnerable groups.
