Grade 7 and 8 students of DeBakey School had a Pi Day celebration where they celebrated the Mathematical constant Pi (π). Pi Day is an annual celebrations observed on March 14th (3/14) with recognition that 3, 1, and 4 are the three most significant digits of π. Many activities were held on that day such as eating “Pi” food, converting things into Pi, celebrating Albert Einstein’s birthday, and having a competition in memorising digits of Pi. Each class was divided into two groups where they had to make “Pi” paper chain with 2 different colours (one colour representing odd numbers and the other for even numbers), the team with the longest chain won.
