Doha: The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Centre, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is participating in the World Stamp Championship Exhibition, held under the umbrella of the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP) from February 17 to 22, 2025 in Uruguay.
Director of the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Centre Hussein Rajab Al Ismail said in a statement that the centre will participate in three stamp exhibitions that have won several international medals, including postal services in Qatar from 1930 - 1963 (five frames), the history of Qatar stamps from the early period until the era of Sheikh Ahmad Bin Ali Al-Thani book, and the postal history of Kuwait (eight frames). The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center is a member of the FIP, Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), and the executive committee of FIAP.
The centre is keen to participate in the international exhibitions held by FIP and FIAP. The centre aims to sponsor and spread the hobby of stamp and coin collecting, work to advance it, and provide the conditions for its development by all means and methods.
