Doha, Qatar: Qatar National Day is celebration of belonging to a country that masterfully balances rich heritage with a welcoming, forward-looking spirit, the Ambassador of Rwanda H E Igor Marara Kayinamura has said.
In his message to The Peninsula on the occasion of the celebration, the ambassador said, “Today, Qatar celebrates the visionary leadership and unwavering determination that transformed a historic vision into the thriving, modern nation we see today.”
“For Qatari citizens, it is a profound source of pride, honoring a journey from strong foundations to remarkable global achievements. For all residents, including myself, privileged to call Qatar home, it is a celebration of belonging to a country that masterfully balances rich heritage with a welcoming, forward-looking spirit.”
The Ambassador noted that having now celebrated the National Day four times, he remained inspired by how it unites everyone in a shared sense of community, collective pride, and hopeful vision for the future, values that we cherish back home.
Speaking about Qatar’s role on the global stage, Ambassador Kayinamura said, “Qatar’s role on the world stage, as a trusted mediator and a hub for constructive dialogue, reflects a diplomatic approach built on moral courage and sustained commitment.
Rwanda is a direct beneficiary of this dedication, deeply grateful for Qatar’s mediation in our region, which goes beyond hosting talks to genuinely fostering peaceful solutions.”
He added that beyond diplomacy, Qatar’s comprehensive renaissance offers a powerful model of transformation through clear vision and strategic leadership.
“The trajectory of Qatar-Rwanda relations is a testament to a special partnership strengthened by personal commitment from our leaders and shared values.
