Doha, Qatar: As part of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa)’s commitment to enhancing public health and professional well‑being, the Corporation has inaugurated “Kahramaa Medical Clinic for Employees” in partnership with Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) yesterday at Kahramaa Abu Hamour Complex.

This inauguration comes as a result of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) with Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), which aims to provide a healthy and safe work environment, accompanied by continuous awareness initiatives for the Corporation’s staff, thereby contributing to enhancing employees’ physical and psychological well‑being and ensuring improved work performance.

The inauguration was attended by H E Eng. Abdulla Bin Ali Al‑Theyab, President of Kahramaa, and Dr. Mariam Abdul Malik, Managing Director of Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), along with a distinguished group of physicians and officials from PHCC and a number of Kahramaa directors, in a step that reaffirms the importance of this accomplishment for both entities.

Expressing his pride in this accomplishment, Al‑Theyab affirmed, “This clinic, which we are launching today, enhances the Corporation’s standing as a place that provides its employees with a healthier and safer environment, improves the well‑being of its workforce, increases their satisfaction, and reduces productivity losses by supporting their health.”

He also highlighted the importance of this clinic, which stems from its status as the first governmental medical clinic to be established in the workplace among government entities in the State, pointing out that this reinforces Kahramaa’s pioneering role in supporting human capital and reaffirms its commitment to securing the best resources to promote occupational health in an integrated and competitive manner.

Dr. Maryam Abdul Malik stated, “Kahramaa Medical Clinic for Employees is an achievement that represents a qualitative leap in the process of cooperation with various government entities, which supports Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Health Strategy 2024–2030, and ensures that health services reach a wider population group in a way that enhances the well‑being of functional cadres and elevates the quality of services provided by Primary Health Care Corporation.”
