Doha: Ambassador of India to Qatar, H E Dr. Deepak Mittal inaugurated ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Corner’, showcasing handmade products made by Indians from the tribal regions at the premises of the Embassy of India in Qatar.
The corner was opened on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas on November 15, to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a great patriot and a martyr. Ambassador briefed the participating heads of apex bodies and Indian community representatives about the initiatives taken by the Government of India for empowerment and progress of tribal communities. A short film on the life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda made by Doordarshan was also screened on the occasion.
