Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani met with UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting, during his visit to the United Kingdom. The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest between the two sides and ways to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation.The meeting also witnessed the signing of an extension to the defence cooperation agreement between the Qatari and British Ministries of Defence. The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, and on the British side by UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs also met with Commandant of the UK Royal College of Defence Studies Sir George Norton. The meeting dealt with discussing issues of joint interest between the two sides and the means to enhance them.
