Doha: Qatar University (QU) signed yesterday a Memorandum of Understanding with Malomatia QSC to support the objectives of QU Continuing Education Office (CEO) to identify and develop training and educational programmes that meet and fulfill the needs of the Qatari society.
The agreement was signed by QU President Dr Hassan Al Derham and Malomatia Managing Director Yousef Al Naama in the presence of QU leaders, officials and deans including QU Vice President and Chief Academic Officer Dr Mazen Hasna, Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs Dr Khalid Al Ali, and CEO Director Dr Rajab Abdulla Al Esmail, and Malomatia officials including Director of e-government and Professional Services Mohammed Al Emadi, Director of Marketing and Communication Khalifa Al Mannai, Manager of e-Learning Solutions Nader Subaih, Sales Manager Abdelrahman Mousa, and Marketing Manager Bachar Al Kateb, as well as CEO faculty and staff.
In terms of the agreement, Malomatia will provide the Office with e-learning solutions such as products and services, as well as training courses and programmes in various areas related to e-learning solutions.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr Al Derham said: “What is exciting about this initiative is that it brings together expertise in education, research and today’s most powerful tools in information technology for the benefit of students from Qatar University and other institutions.”
Al Naama said: “Malomatia is keen to support the advancement of education, which is a pillar of Qatar’s ongoing development.”
Dr Al Esmail said: “Our partnership with Malomatia is an important milestone for the Continuing Education Office because it will contribute to providing a wide range of e-learning training including 60 programs in different disciplines and Arabic language programmes.”
