Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held via telephone a conversation yesterday with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. The Emir also held a second phone call with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The Emir discussed the violations that Al Quds and Al Aqsa mosques are being subjected to after Israeli forces stormed into the mosque and prevented Palestinians from praying there in a clear provocation to Muslims all over the world. The Emir stressed during the two phone calls the importance of having Arab and Muslim countries work together to protect the rights of the Palestinian people. QNA
Emir receives call from Khalid Mishaal
Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday received a telephone call from Head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement in Palestine (Hamas) Khaled Mishaal.
At the outset of the contact, Mishaal briefed the Emir on the latest developments in Palestine in light of the dangerous escalation in Jerusalem where Israeli forces storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulting worshipers in the Al-Aqsa compound.
Khaled Mishaal appealed to the Emir to work with the international community for taking urgent and effective measures to protect the Palestinian people and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Emir, in turn, strongly denounced the Israeli aggression, acts of provocation in Jerusalem and the attempt to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque according to zones and times, stressing the State of Qatar’s support for the brotherly Palestinian people in facing such aggression.
Khaled Mishaal extended thanks to the State of Qatar’s leadership and people for its firm position in support for the Palestinian people and their just cause. QNA
