Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is supporting a project to equip a main training hall and meeting rooms at the headquarters of Teach For Qatar, through the Endowment Fund for Scientific and Cultural Development.
The initiative forms part of a partnership aimed at enhancing the organisation’s training facilities and enabling it to expand programs serving teachers and community leaders.
The project reflects the General Directorate of Endowments’ commitment to directing endowment proceeds toward sustainable educational and scientific initiatives. By investing in people, the initiative seeks to improve the quality of education and develop qualified professionals capable of creating a positive impact in schools and the wider community.
Nasser Yousef Al Jaber, CEO of Teach For Qatar, said the General Directorate of Endowments’ support represents a significant addition to the organisation’s work and strengthens its ability to deliver more sustainable training programmes.
He noted that the partnership provides a successful national model for coordinating efforts in support of education.
Al Jaber said the project includes a modern, auditorium-style main training hall with a capacity of 96 trainees. The facility is equipped with interactive display screens and advanced audio-visual systems, while the meeting rooms will also feature state-of-the-art technology.
The upgraded facilities will provide a modern learning environment designed to meet the needs of professional training and development.
He added that the facilities will enable Teach For Qatar to conduct training programs, workshops and professional events throughout the year. These activities will serve participants in the Leaders Pathway program, the organisation’s alumni, teachers and various segments of the education community, helping improve the quality of its programs and broaden their impact.
The organisation expects the upgraded training facilities to benefit approximately 2,900 people annually through professional development programs, its Summer Institute, Back-to-School Institute and ongoing training programs, in addition to partnership and community engagement activities. These initiatives are expected to contribute to improving the quality of education and preparing teachers and educational leaders with the professional and leadership skills.
