Doha Modern Indian School observed the 68th Indian Independence Day with patriotic fervour. The function started with the flag hoisting by Jayashankar Pillai, Director of Taleb schools. Pillai, in his speech, lauded the bilateral relations between Qatar and India and hoped for further progress in this regard. He urged the audience to follow the example of great visionaries like Mahatma Gandhi. Patriotic song sung on the occasion filled the minds of the listeners with patriotism and evoked the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie. The function was attended by Jai Gopal Jindal, former Principal, staff of DMIS and Taleb Group.
