DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) is providing customers with opportunity to win back international spends through the ‘Win back your international purchases’ promotion campaign, in association with Visa.
QIB customers will get the chance to win back purchases done internationally using their Visa Debit or Credit cards between July 13 and October 10.
All QIB’s Visa cardholders are eligible for the prize draw each time they use QIB-Visa cards for purchases outside Qatar.
Customers planning to spend summer vacation abroad have another reason to use QIB cards and the more they spend, the more chances they have to win.
QIB offers a range of Visa cards, each with a variety of features. Cards are accepted locally and internationally at millions of merchant outlets and 1.8 million ATMs worldwide.
QIB’s cards are designed for the convenience of travellers.
The QIB-Qatar Airways co-branded cards enable customers to earn Qmiles, which can be used for redemptions, including complimentary flights, upgrades and excess baggage on QA flights, together with purchases made at Qatar Duty Free at Hamad International Airport in Doha or Oryx Galleria boutique in Doha.
Qmiles can also be redeemed for complimentary flights with oneworld airline partners.
D Anand, General Manager, Personal Banking Group, QIB, said: “It’s during the travel season when customers tend to spend more, booking airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, shopping and buying gifts.
“To encourage our customers to use cards against cash and ensure optimal safety while spending, we are rewarding them by paying back what they spend, as we endeavour to make their vacation and shopping experience memorable.
“QIB, in association with Visa, is providing customers with discounts and offers at many outlets like hotels, restaurants and car rentals,” he added.
The promotion will enable 53 winners to be selected randomly in a draw to win back total international purchases up to QR25,000; three winners will win back spends up to QR25,000, 10 up to QR10,000 and 40 up to QR5,000.
Supplementary cards will also be eligible and be included along with the primary cardholder.
Only active card customers at the time of the draw will be eligible to win the prize. The draw will be held by October-end.
DOHA: QIB has announced that the Gate Mall, Dar Al Salam and City Center branches will open their doors starting the second day of Eid from 4pm until 8pm and other Eid days from 9am to 2.30pm.
After Eid holidays, the branches will work throughout their regular hours in mornings and evenings.
The regular working hours of the three branches are from Saturday until Thursday from 9am until 2.30pm and 3.30pm until 9pm and on Friday from 4pm until 9pm.
QIB e-channels will be available 24/7 through Internet banking, QIB mobile banking application, call centre and over 165 ATMs across the country.
The management says the aim is to provide a convenient banking experience for clients through the three branches and the 24/7 alternative channels.
